Is there a purpose for our being here on earth, if so what are we supposed to accomplish here?

I believe we are here to learn life's lessons of love, humility, grace and happiness. When you achieve that you are able to move on. I think that there is so much bad in the world, because karma works throughout your life. You know - what goes around comes around. Do good and good will be done upon you.

It depends on who you're speaking to. Some of us think that our purpose here is to live life. Others think that their purpose is to fuck it all up so that they can go on to a supposely better world/life up in the sky. Others think it's all about getting lucky. Many think it's all about partying. And many more believe it's all about money and/or power. Most just cruise by not knowing what the hell it's all about. So at the end of the day, the purpose of being here is whatever you make it for you

To torment us, to makes us wounder - what the heck's the point? Well maybe not. For those that believe they know to provide that knowledge to another just doesn't work - only in the most general terms would two people have the same reason. The purpose is for each to find their purpose; or maybe not even look, which I would surmise is pretty common.

We are just a fluke of nature, a part of the cosmic game. We aren't accomplishing much in the way of being good caretakers of the planet. That could be one thing we should do cause Mother Earth is are home.Many of us have an attitude of just thinking of ourselves.

What I'm supposed to accomplish is unique to me, as it is for you and everyone else born to this Earth. All living things suffer. It's the reality of this world. None of us can escape it. How we respond to and manage suffering is the key which unlocks our souls.

Yep...to do God's Will...tend the earth and our family and be our brothers keeper...man has a role and so does woman....God's Will not our own and we have the Guidelines..the 10 Commandments=first four we are to do to the Almighty ,5th one is first in our earthly life to our parents, and last 5 are to our fellowman....the Golden Rule being an everyday form.....accomplish? a good example to ALL...God,family, and fellowman..... that's our purpose...selfish of God ,some say? no, but it shows "our selfishness" to all when we strive for "our own purpose" day in and day out, many feel they owe no one or nothing but themselves, such pride and no shame or humiliation , is man kinds nemesis...amen ....:)justme,reasoningwith my LORD

We are made in the image of God, we are called the Children of God, God said, All mankind would come to salvation and to the knowledge of the truth, and the "slam dunk" Christ in Revelation said we would sit with him on his throne, even as He is sat down on his father's throne. We are here for two purposes. First, to obtain physical bodies. Second, walking by faith, to learn to govern the body, with it's appetites and passions in an environment where we can make mistakes and learn from them without being condemned. And to learn to love and help one another along the way.

We are here for a few reasons 1) To gain a psyical body so we can return in it waith a perfect body so don't burn your body. 2) To find out how life is with a family.

Appearently, since this is in the Mormon section... The only reason we are here is to obey some guy on Kolob. This way we will be able to become gods and have our own planet and do it all over again. I rather believe there is more to life than that.
