America did not have an Empire like the Romans or British. But, the US is/was as dominant as those Empires in Military, Economic, Scientific, Financial, and Cultural influence. So what, if anything, has gone wrong?

8 months after this question was asked on AnswerBag Lou Dobbs and Bill O'Reilly debated it on the Factor. Come on Abers, answer the question! YES or NO. Heres some help. O'Reilly blamed Bush for causing the problem. And Obama for making it worse and leading the country to bankruptcy. Dobbs said it depends on what happens to the Dollar. If it collapses, America follows Rome into decline and fall. Incidentally, it was suggested Dobbs might run for President as an Independent. O'Reilly still wants to be God. Two Fox contributors this week called O'Reilly “judgemental” and "wanting to play God". Both were women, so O'Reilly just smiled. He never loses it with women. Probably because he was always scared of and admired nuns and his mother.
