What is the best database to use that is an objects oriented database and what are the benefits of it?

PostGres is the best database I have ever worked with. It is essentially Free Oracle with Open Source, meaning you can of course adapt it to whatever your needs are. Long ago when PG first came out, it included a Geometric datatype, which I found fascinating and put to great use when coupling with TCL/Tk. The level of performance, speed, flexibility and open-sourcing of PostGres outclasses everything else. The latest release is so robust I could never utilize all its features, including an Oracle-style script language.
