  • The first thing that strikes me is that it is VASTLY overpriced. I mean EXTREMELY. The second thing is that portability should not make a system cost more than twice what a similarly-specced desktop would cost, and that beast failed that benchmark BY FAR. While it is a competent machine, I would be hesitant to pay more than $900, and I would *definitely* not pay more than $1100 unless the salesperson offered sexual favors of a type that are illegal in 38 states. And that is assuming you went for the top-of-the-line model. My third thought is that I can't see anything it can do that my $350 Aspire One couldn't do with an external USB DVD/RW drive for a LOT less money. Personally, I don't even bother as I do all my CD/DVD burning on my desktop system that I paid $50 for and will hold it's own with systems on the shelf now selling for $900. I spent under $400 for TWO computers, and between them I can do FAR more than that one system can do. I could go on, but I think I've said enough to let you know that I personally would pass on that machine and shop around. What is it that you expect to do with it anyways?
  • Sony is overpriced. Most netbooks sell well for under $400. Sony sells their Vaio P for over 1,200 and give it a processor that is slower than some of the cheapest $250 netbooks.
