  • Of course I am, and all owners are too.
  • Yes, my cat is fixed ^^ She is also well fed, brushed weekly, and taken to the vet when needed. If it's one thing i HATE it is people who dont take their pets to the vet because they 'cant afford it' I feel if you cant afford emergencies, why even have a pet if you cant seek medical treatment for it.
  • My dog is fixed. AS soon so I shall be. He's walkd daily and so am I. And we both take our vitamens and see the dr when needed. Hes my best freind.
  • Tigger was a stray who "adopted" us. He was already "fixed" and we took him to a vet and he is healthy and has had all the shots he needs and will be due for more this November. I agree it is a privilege and I think dark thoughts about those who simply "dump" their pets as Tigger must have been "dumped" by someone. My hope is that such people will be dumped by those on whom they depend so they know what it feels like to be abandoned. He is an extremely loving, smart and funny cat and how anyone could have abandoned him is most shocking to us..and very sad..but now he's ours so it all worked out! :)
  • Yes it is, we have two cats who provide us with immense pleasure. April will be 4 next month and was spayed as soon as she was old enough. She has also been chipped. Monty will be 3 in July and he came to us aged six months from a rescue centre. He came already innoculated and chipped but we had him neutered as soon as he was old enough.
  • Yes I have. It's the least I can do for them in return. :)
  • I agree. And, of course!
  • Of course!
  • I have three cats. The eldest is spayed. The other two are kept inside the house until we can get them spayed. The ducks do not require spaying or neutering.
  • I don't think that neutering/spaying pets is necessarily a sign of responsibility when owning one. We had two kittens that grew up together and had their own litter. We've kept most of the kittens and responsibly re-homed the rest. The kittens are almost grown now and unfortunately everyone's been fixed. I'm disappointed, because I would love nothing more than to have another litter of kittens around the house.
  • Of course! I always have my cats spayed/neutered as soon as they are old enough or, if I take them in when older and they are not spayed/neutered, I have them spayed/neutered right away.
  • Yes! All cats I've ever had have been spayed/neutered, and I've had a lot of cats in my time. The only litter of kittens I've ever had, was because a pregnant young white cat was dumped in our street the one weekend I went away late last year. She adopted me, and had 8 kittens under my bed 4 weeks later. She was spayed when kittens were nearly 6 weeks old, and despite some not agreeing on early 'fixing', all surviving kittens (5) were done between 9-12 weeks along with their vaccinations, before going to their forever homes. We did keep 2 tho - cant resist a kitten!
  • My dog & cats are spayed & neutered. I also have birds, they aren't fixed (or whatever the terms for birds is) & I'm not even sure if vets do that to birds?
  • Well, mine aren't. I breed Golden Retrievers, but I am responsible about it. My female didn't get bred until she was over a year old, and only once a year. My male is stunning. It's kind of hard to breed when they're fixed. As soon as the 3 major microchip companies finish warring, I will go with whoever comes out on top and get them chipped, too. No point in doing it yet when vets only have a 1/3 chance of scanning a receiving microchip.
