TIn Fellowship of the Rings did Galadriel's ring create Lothlorien, or did it exist already? Also do the other rings, which were forged when the One was forged, depend upon the power of the One to have power themselves, or is their power not reliant upon

Lothlorien existed already, but from my understanding the ring Galadriel had kept it safe and sort of separated it from the rest of Middle Earth. The rings already had their own power originally. The Ring of Power was forged later, to try and control all the other rings. So I would say they weren't reliant upon the Ring of Power. Also, the Elves used Sauron's knowledge to forge their 3 rings, but he never touched them so they are considered uncorrupted. I am such a huge geek. :D
