What should I do since I ate 3 chicken strips that were in my car for around 6-8 hours. It was around 40-50 degrees here today. Will I be okay right now or what do you think will happen?

The only proper thing to do is drink whiskey until you puke. Alcohol kills bacteria, so when you get sick you'll know it wasn't from whatever was growing on the chicken, but the whiskey. Which is OK! But really, you'll be fine. But be a little smarter with what goes into your mouth.

If the inside of your car never exceeded 50º F, then that's like leaving it in your refrigerator, so you should be fine.

Probably ok. mind you - considering the cost of medical treatment for food poisoning compared with the value of the food saved/wasted - is it worth taking the chance?

where were they from? they may have preservatives in them

I f you have already eaten them, just wait and see if you get food poisoning. If you have a mild case, you will simply feel like you have the stomach flu for a few hours. If you symptoms are worse, visit the emergency room.
