  • You are now an adult. What happened when you were young no longer matters. It can't be changed. You are now responsible for everything you do. Lift you chin, look people in the eye, and make your decision based on the best information you have. If you fail, choose a different path and try again. Confidence is demonstrated by the ability to perservere through failure. It is a choice.
  • In my experience, the best way to get past it is to seek professional help. Professionals are equipped to deal with these feelings as they are too heavy a burden to bear alone. Best of luck.
  • One thing that helped me was to find something I was good at and just keep at it. A good job always helps, or even if it's just being really good at World of Warcraft or something. Or you can just start smoking a lot of weed.

  • I'm sorry to hear about the emotional abuse you've been through. Don't be afraid of failure. Life is for the living, we all make decisions that seem right at the time. If you've been true to yourself and thought about pros and cons before a decision then go with your answer and give it your best. If it doesn't work out, at least you've tried. Then go on to your next decision. We don't fail in life, we experience it. Some good some not so good. Remind yourself of all the things that you have achieved no matter how small it might seem. Hold your head up high and feel the freedom you now have to do whatever you want to do. Good Luck and all the best :D
