That is not religion that is bigotry.

People have been justifying the most horrible things for as long as we have existed. It is the most important human fault we must try to understand in others so that we do not stricken ourselves with it. If someone can justify something in their own mind, they can do it. Anything from stealing to murder. The KKK honestly believe what they do is in the name of their god and thus justified. The ALF believe violence, thievery and vandalism are justified because animals may be getting hurt. Manson honestly believed what he was doing was right, hell even W. Bush believed it was justified to lie to the public and endorse torture because it was justified by the people's safety. If it can be justified in someone's mind, however twisted the logic is, they can do it with a clean conscience. Do not justify except by the rule: Does it harm another?
