i love valentines day, although i think valentines day should be everyday. it's not only a day for lovers, but just to say "i love you" in general.

I don't...it's just another commercial "holiday" (excuse) designed to make people feel obligated to buy things that would be much more special if they just did it because they wanted to...not because it was expected.

My girlfriend and I both agree it's silly. We half-grudgingly celebrate Christmas but that's it.

Well you can make your loved one feel loved and special at any time of the year, i like valentines day because most of the population are happy and showing their love to each other so it is generally a very happy day for all. This morning my partner left my card on the table with milk tray, champagne, a red rose and gift voucher for a pamper day at a 5* hotel. I dont think it is pointless, if it makes a couple feel loved up and special by showering each other with affection then that is good in my eyes.

I do. I think that even if you dont have a partner on the day, its a day where we can all spread a little love and happiness. Even just a smile to a stranger. Gives life that little lift we all need sometimes. People who dont like it are just silly and trying to be clever. Innnnnit!

I prefer to show my love for my husband year round, not just every February 14th!
