How do you get tinyurl websites? i've seen a lot of links like that on answerbag, but i don't know how you get/make them. what exactly are they?

Nevets showed me.. so I am passing on the link ... it helps make a long url, short .. sometimes long web address links get messed up when you try and post them.. if you put it through tinyurl .. it makes it a small url.. easier to read and post.

- It's much more convenient to do this if you have Firefox as your browser and use the Tinyurl add-in, which allows you to create them with a right-click on the target link: http://tinyurl.com/lybnk

It makes a long URL to a shorter URL. It doesn't break any web flaws or source code, it just posts the website into its server, redirecting it to the long URL.

It's just a way of shortening a long url into a short one. If you go to tinyurl.com, you can paste in a long url, and it will give you a short one. It just makes it easier to post a link someplace without it getting broken up or mis-typed.
