  • The Viking Voyages to the North America. I wish there were more sources than the few Sagas, and the small Newfoundland settlement. It's really quite pathetic how many people still think Columbus "discovered the New World".
  • Not sure if this is what you're talking about or not but, I just got a copy of "Saboteurs...The Nazi Raid on America" by Michael Dobbs. It tells about a plan by the Nazi's during World War II to bring chaos to the US.
  • I'd like to learn more about the crossing of the last ice-age Siberia-Alaska land bridge, the earliest spoken language(s), and the first residents of Jericho.
  • Sadly I'm always inspired by movies about a certain event, it fuels a thirst for more knowledge. For instance the various movies about Queen Elizabeth I. After I watched that movie I wanted to read up on her and her reign, same holds true for Howard Hughes and his flight expeditions, even "300" had me excited enough to read up on King Leonidas and the Spartans.. the list goes on
