I recently bought a thermos. I've never owned one before. I'm so impressed on how well it works. I made tea 6 hours ago and I left the thermos in the truck and it's pretty cold outside. I finally had a chance to have a drink and the tea was bloody hot! Wow! I guess little experiences amuse me.

Yes, I have one large and one small thermos. I use them almost every day to put coffee in after it finishes brewing.

You must be reading my mind. I was dreaming about thermoses last night for some weird reason =P (most likely to do with my now frequent use of calorimeters which are basically just small thermoses with a thermometer in them, lol). Anyway, I had two thermoses but my ex-room mate lost one when he took some soup in it (without asking me) and left it in a book store and then it got stolen. The other one isn't *technically* mine, but we've had it around for almost 20 years (so it's been around almost as long as I have) and I have many fond memories of that thermos. It has gone on every long car trip that I have ever gone on with my grandparents, and on every single hiking or snowshoeing trip that I've been on with my grandpa, always filled with coffee, which we drink out of the lid while we picnic at the top of the mountain we just climbed. I hope I inherit that thermos =P

Yes, though we rarely use it. It's nice to take along on trips during cold weather, make our own coffee or cocoa, even some soup for lunch.
