  • Start out by disconnecting the RCA jacks and confirming that you are plugging red to red and white to white in an OUTPUT on your DVD and an INPUT on your TV or stereo system. If you still do not have audio, unplug the S cable to see if it affects the processing and gives you audio. If it does then you have a malfuntion in the electronic switching system which you will not be able to fix yourself. If it does not, see if there is some other port on your TV which you can plug into to confirm that your DVD is actually working, or perhaps route it through a VCR. If you cannot confirm that it is working, you may just have a defective DVD player which will need to be returned
