Cool question, but no I was not one of those kids that thought that. That may have something to do with watching too much television in black and white. I was pushed away from the tube and made to do more constructive things to enjoy my childhood. Today I am thankful for that push.

I would agree with Chief Wanbli that exposure to BW TV "colored" (pun) my perceptions of the world. My family was one of the last in the US to get color TV, so I understood that the BW images were not true to life!
