The date on which Christians celebrate Easter every year changes depending on when the Paschal New and Full moons occur. What do you think about Christianity basing its biggest holiday (in terms of matters of faith) on a lunar event?

All exact dates are governed by lunar and solar cycles. The Gregorian calendar (the most common one)as with most calendars are deeply flawed and do not judge time accurately. Christianity like EVERY religion started out as a cult. Not only that but they have several holidays on the same day as many pagan religions. And Paganism outdates any modern religion by thousands of years.

The reason that they do this is because they recycled pagan festivals. Both Christmas and Easter are just Christian festivals superimposed on pagan tradition. In some ways I can see the sense in that, historically. Nobody likes giving up holidays so if you want to introduce your new religion to the pagan hordes why not keep their holidays but with your meaning? Don't get me wrong, I'm an atheist so I don't believe any of the religious side to these holidays but I can understand that using the same system as the pagan holidays just aided the transition between religions.
