No the same methods when applied to Moby Dick reveal similar results.
-
The results are a statistical fluke. There are no "hidden messages". Other books have revealed "hidden messages" when the same method is applied. It is strictly a matter of chance. There is enough meaning in the Bible as it is written without mysterious methods. There is no need to look for hidden messages.

No, I did when I first read the book, but then when I did my own research I realised it was a load of bull.

I am the author of one of the original Bible Code software products (which can be downloaded from http://www.bible-code-depths.com). I'll start by stating that many years after writing this software and corresponding with people in the know, my only conclusion is that I still haven't the faintest idea if the codes are real or imagined. There are great mathematicians today who after analyzing the results will fiercely argue that the codes are genuine (that is, the results could not occur by chance) and there are equally great mathematicians who after performing their own analysis will argue just as fiercely that the experiments were set up incorrectly or that the results are well within the boundaries of expected probability. What *is* obvious is that the amount of nonsense that has been claimed using the bible code as proof and the amount of money these tabloid claims have generated for opportunist marketers far exceeds any amount of honest research into the matter.

No, I don't.
-
no, i have my own beliefs, they don't come from a book.
-
not realy because the english language wasnt even created at the time the bible was written so it would not make sense for the messages to be in english, also the bible code is extremely inconsistent while there are some "prophetic" messages there are others that have a completely unchristian message such as "god is dead" and "jesus is satan"
-
not really, but it sounds really convincing... The only thing is they might just be making it up because it is so "rare" that only scientists could find it. that sounds a little cheesey.
-
NO SINCE THE BIBLE HAS CHANGED (even slightly) during transulations and hand copying. this makes it impossible to be true.
-
No because techincally if you believe in the whole free will then the code basically says some people are born to immense evil and some born to do immense good as if they had no choice to choose as if they were predestined to be who they are. Exampled one said Hitler evil man, meant to destroy or something of that nature if it was a hidden message that means that the individual was predestined to commit horrific acts that he was basically put on earth with 0 free will. which would contradict the whole free will to choose thing. Just one reason why I don't really put stock into

No code exists, just nitwits writting books on it for $$. Here's some facts to examine. Why you can believe the Bible and since the Bible is true, then you can believe in God,because the Bible speaks of Him existing. This is based on the history of the King James 1611AV Bible. Other versions (233 DIFFERENT versions on the market), ALL are proven to be from corrupt MSS (manuscripts). 1. It doesn't demand blind faith. For faith to be of any value, it must be based on facts, on reality. 2. Ancient history supports the Bible's accuracy. 3. The Gospels provide reliable accounts of Jesus. 4. Archaeology Science backs up Biblical accounts. 5. Textual scholarship confirms the Bible. 6. The Bible is true to it's original form because: a. we have such a hugh number of MSS copies, over 24,000. b. these copies agree with each other 99.5%. c. the dates of these MSS are very close to dates of their originals. 7. The Bible's textual integrity is more certain than that of Plato's writtings and Homer's Illad. 8. History written ahead of time is proof the Bible is not a product of man. 9. In contrast, the book of mormon: archaeology has repeatedly failed to substantiate the book's claims of cities, persons, names or places mentioned. 10.From a historical and legal perpective, if enough eyewitnesses are alive when the the facts are published, it's can be fairly well established the vaidity of a secular event. (see 1 Cor 15.6) 11. Anthropology Science (study of humanity and social cultures) confirms the Bible.

No I do not. The apostle Peter wrote that "it was not by following artfully contrived false stories that we acquainted you with the power and presence of our Lord Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 1:16) The concept of a Bible code has its roots in Jewish mysticism, utilizing "artfully contrived" methods that obscure and distort the plain meaning of the Bible's inspired text. The Hebrew Scriptures themselves unequivocally condemned such a mystical approach.— please read Deuteronomy 13:1-5; 18:9-13. Here is a nice, detailed article on the concept of a "code" in the Bible: http://www.watchtower.org/e/20000401a/article_01.htm

No. You can do the same thing with just about any big book.
-
Is that the same as the Bush doctrine?

For me , After reading I and 2 , I am quite undecided .... By itself ... it makes me really wonder and say "BUT IF" ... However; if we add the works of Nostradamus, The I-Ching, American Southwest Native Americans ... and others ... THEN; it doesn't stand alone and get a little more credability with me and many others .... +5
