Everyone is entitled to their opinion, I dont see why it should be "punishable"

Firstly mate, please read through this, it really doesn't make sense, at all tbh ;] It sounds roughly like it's to do with a game, considering you mentioned trolls...but wtf game?! xD
-
Best thing to do if this bothers you is to turn off your ratings. It's only points. They don't mean anything.
-
DRs are supposed to be reserved for "unhelpful" answers. Unfortunately, some vindictive trolls here are too stupid to be able to tell apart those and DIFFERENCES OF OPINION, which should never get a DR.
-
I disagreed with you, but as always I left you with +6/+5
-
No. Whatever can be done on here to make it a more interactive experience is a good thing (even if some of the experiences aren't pleasant).

No, not at all. I think that some people DR for stupid reasons. I do not think that a politely expressed opinion, no matter what it is, is worthy of downrates. Also we have flat out trolls. However I do not think that the DR button should be taken away. I think that we should have the right to express our opinions that way. I also think that DRs serve a good purpose along with uprates: they are what cause the best answers to rise to the top. Of course, this is not flawless but it is the best option we have. If being DRed bothers you, turn off your ratings. Mine are almost always turned off.

We all get downgraded. I figure if it relieves someone's stress or anger to push that button, go right ahead. It's really not hurting anything or anyone. Just remember, they are only points. They are no reflection on your worth as a human or even, much of the time, the worth of your answer.

I think if you - someone you should put a comment on why you did so
