I took an online I.Q. test and scored 153. I seriously doubt that I'm THAT smart. How accurate are these tests, or does it mean that I'm just a lucky guesser?

IQ tests only give a snap shot, you could take the test 20 times & you'd get 20 different results. Dont let that diminish your success through 153's a damn good score. If you did want to get a more acurate answer to how intelligent you are try a WAIS.

Online? My brother-in-law did the same thing recently and goes around now telling people he's a genius. Believe me, he isn't. :-)

It shows you have some intellect but the online IQ test are not the same as those given by let's say a psychologist. I have scored that high on some online IQ test before, but being an educator I have been tested through a paper/pencil test numerous times. My IQ has consistently tested around a 134 which is about twenty to twenty five points lower than the ones you take online.

It's not the score that matters but what you do with it. I took one once and scored in the high 140s. And I know I am no genius.
