Yep...I never actually met my BEST friend :-) We started talking on a Myspace group about 3 years ago and have developed one of the best friendships Ive ever had. We talk on the phone atleast twice a week and plan on meeting half way across the US with our families to meet in July!! Yay!!!

You betcha and for the most part I have met wonderful people right here in AB. I love it here and chatting with new folks having never had a face to face contact with them. On the other hand there are 3 people I would love to meet face to face just so I could show them I stand extremely true to my convictions, lol.......they seem to get a kick out of harassing a friend of mine, so I like about two minutes with them to show them how deep a connection I feel! LOL

I have deep connections to a few people I met here on AB. Though i know we will never meet in person and next week one of us may decide to give up AB and we will never talk again..I will always worry about them and always think about them. There are so many people who know exactly what I feel and who have gone thru the same things I have

Yes it has happened to me, I was on a dating site for awhile a few years back and whenever I'd start chatting to a girl it was all great but then the first meeting was the worst thing that could happen they would even seem right into me and say you are great, and why are you still single etc and then first sight it was like they couldn't get away quick enough. I didn't think I was that hideous.... What about you rocket?

yes, its another mother that drops off her kids at my daughters preschool. I have never really talked to her but I do fell a conection with her. I noticed it the firat time I seen her. Its like I know her or something but I really dont think I do... kinda weird!

Yes, there are several writers whom I have followed over a long period of time who feel like old friends. A few have actually become friends.

Yes definitely. That's happened with online relationships as well as (sadly) a celebrity kind of thing. I've always felt a deep connection with people in the Civil Rights Movement (Rose Parks, Bobby Kennedy, MLK). I'm not sure why that is, but it is.

yes and to a AB member but I don't think much into it because I'm married and I also believe that we each have more than one soul mate. Not one is better than the other but different. Some soul mates grow with you and others are waiting for you to out grow the one you are with. At this point my current soul mate is growing with me. She may continue or she may not but until that happens she has my undying devotion. But back to your question, yes, yes I have.

Yes, maybe not a deep connection but at least a connection. I met someone across the country and so far I think we are hitting it off pretty good. She's beautiful, witty and smart.

I have with someone who lived on the other side of the US. We spoke on the microphone but never met in person. We met through a video game and thats what our connection was, was playing this video game and being on the same time. We talked about tons of things whether it was personal or about something else.. but we don't talk much anymore because we lost that central connection with that video game =(

i have a wonderful friend whom i've never met in person and i feel that i can talk to her about anything. while i was stationed in california i was only 20 minutes away from her but as fate would have it we never got the chance to meet today i am 1500 miles away and keep in contact on a regular basis talking about anything and everything she is by far my best friend.

No. That's 'feeling' of a 'deep connection' is due to the filling in of the blanks that you've done in the absence of that person.

I actually have a really deep connection with my bf. we have never met in person but yet we seem so connected. Like i even feel some of his emmotions and i know when to worry about him. i know when hes in pain and i also know when to look down at my phone because i know im getting a text from him in about 15 sec. and vice versia... Its amazing :)
