Are you talking about the lords prayer? when Jesus said "Let your will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven" If that is the case, then by that when we pray this prayer. The will was for God to cast Satan out of Heaven and now he is here on the Earth. And we want the same will to be done on Earth as it was in Heaven.

To follow His precepts (His word). To love Him with all your heart, your soul, mind, and body. To lay down the pleasures of this world, in alignment with Christ. To win souls to Christ, etc.

Solomon made a careful study of humankind summing up his observations, he wrote: “The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man.” (Ecclesiastes 12:13) I agree with Solomon. The Bible also says: “This is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments.”—1 John 5:3. That is how we do God’s will.

This is an question that requires allot of pondering. We think by performing certain actions that we are, or are not ,doing the will of God.And since we have no way of knowing what God's will is,we will always be unsure that we are doing God's will.
