If not, have a look at my journal. http://www.webook.com/project/DONT-CALL-ME-DEVILDOG

You're kidding, right? There is no way in hell I would ever slap someone in the face for giving so much to keep me and mine in our accustomed lifestyle (lacking though it is). Soldier on, gentlemen and ladies! You're braver than I ever was.

I have no bias against anyone who is willing to serve in war. I think they should be given our utmost respect. When my father returned from Vietnam, he was called baby killer by people at the airport. It has bothered him ever since then.
-
No. To the contrary I respect them. It hurts to see some of our finest in a generation being maimed and killed. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't credit our service men and women the utmost respect.

No, I have a very strong bias against our leaders who, since the Korean War, have sent our servicemen (and women) to be killed and maimed in dozens of military actions that had little or nothing to do with America's security/safety and plenty to do with the interests of the Plutocrat/Kleptocrat class. http://www.amazon.com/Confessions-Economic-Hit-John-Perkins/dp/0452287081/

Yes. It's called RESPECT. Some other people just don't deserve it!
-
I have a bias against those people who couldn't be bothered to serve in the military directing and deceiving those who do serve.

I have the greatest respect for all servicemen and women who go to war on our behalf. They are the bravest of the brave in my eyes, because they are all volunteers. We should all be honoured that our young people are prepared to give up theirs lives that others may live in freedom. During the Vietnam War a noticeable thing happened in peoples opinion to warfare.People started to question the government and ask why should we fight in an unjust war.It was also the young men's mothers that started to reject the old warrior spirit that had been instilled in man for thousands of years. The sons burnt their draft cards and said why should should we die for a country that has nothing to do with America. Another big thing that swayed public opinion and thinking was the vast media coverage where you could watch the attacks going in.This in itself must have started to dry up volunteers for the services. In the end due to the atrition or the wearing down of the fighting spirit and the unending masses that were joining the Viet Cong something drastic had to be done.Too many people had been killed or maimed, and the politicians must have taken into account the feeling of the people at home, and did what any responsible government would have done, and called it a day. Every man jack of us and even those with doubts about killing another human being would stand up and be counted if their homeland was threatened, but for the political wars they now stand up and protest loudly.

I served Vietnam and went through hell and I am a woman, I just knew what the poor men were enduring on the front lines. I honor them, to include myself as I I did a great deal for America while in the military.

Don't believe in war. Period!
