A few of them. But most of them got over it. I later became self employed. Something I wish I had done many years sooner.

Last company I walked out on sent me a Thank You card. That's when I decided I had better work for myself. I won't fire me under any circumstances. And I pay me every cent I can afford to.

DURING THE GAS CRUNCH YEARS AGO, I FIGURED I'D GET LAID OFF, SO I SET UP ANOTHER JOB, SINCE I WAS A CHEF ALSO. IT TURNED OUT THEY WANTED TO KEEP ME AND GET RID OF OTHERS, SO I SAID I'D GO ON VACATION WITH PAY DUE ME AND THEN RETURN, OTHERWISE HE'D HAVE CHEATED ME OUT OF MY 2 WEEKS PAY. I DID'NT RETURN AND THOSE OTHER 3 KEPT THEIR JOBS AND I WENT BACK TO CLEAN WORK AFTER I COLLECTED MY PAID VACATION.

Yup, but they didn't have me on the schedule for two weeks . . . and I got the other job just in time, so I gave my two week's notice. (They were training someone else.)

who cares if they got upset? i'm outta there! fuck 'em!
-
Just once. I told her where she could stick the job and walked out.
