I read a book that talked about "cat space" - the place they go to when you can't find them anywhere - and then they magically appear when hungry. I reckon your cat is either hungry or just wants your attention. Little cutie :)

I have a stripey cat and he is nearly invisible unless you are looking right at him. Especially with all the laundry on the floor.
