I have no idea, and the question has perplexed me for some time. I guess the explanation is that Christian door-knockers believe that they are the "one true religion" and that they are actually "helping people". Of course, Muslims seeking to claim the world for Islam believe the same thing. But the heart of the problem is being able to justify to yourself what is, in fact, the same behavior you are condemning in others.

Simply because the (radical) Muslims (the ones that want Islam to dominate the world): 1. Are willing to take your head to get what they want (and not feel the least bit guilty about it). 2. Are more than willing to impose "Sharia law" on the populace once in power. 3. Islam IS NOT a government sponsored religion, it IS the government.

Muslims believe that if you do not join then they will kill you, so do you want them to take over? Also it is a Christian belief that all illness will be wiped away by God. But that will happen on Judegement Day.

There isn't. One nutter is spouting rubbish is much the same as the next. The problem with muslims is that if they take over we'll all have to make placards and go on numerous protest marches declaring how offended we are over ****** (insert subject). Of course, the really scarey thing is that we might feel inclined to start blowing ourselves to bits one by one (it would be like a domino effect).

They will never ever come close to taking over the world.

Because the people who believe this are in societies where the dominant religion is Christianity, and the marriage between Christianity and public relations has people worried unnecessarily about other religions, Islam in particular. Christian power figures are worried about Islam, just as Islamic power figures are worried about the Baha'i Faith, because Islam is a more recent update on God's message which makes Christianity redundant. Islam will not take over the world, and the excesses attributed to it are specific to the military personnel and heads of state who act in the name of Islam.

There is an attempt by some here to draw moral equivalents between Islam and Christianity. However, there are some facts that those that are trying to do this have to ignore. Now in writing what I am about to write, don't think that I am trying to paint all of Islam with this brush. I recognize that there are a lot of Muslims that are willing to live in peace with others. However, there is a very significant and vocal portion of that religion that is not. Those are the ones that I am discussing here. That written, I don't know of any other major religion that teaches its followers that it is acceptable to kill those that refuse to accept that religions tenants. I don't know of any other religions that are telling it's people that it is acceptable to strap bombs on their children and blow themselves up so that they can kill the nonbelievers in the process. The vast majority of the trouble in the Middle East is caused by people who want of forcibly impose their idea of Islam on all of the rest of us. Osama Bin Laden has stated that part of the reason for his attacks against the US and other western nations is because we don't follow his brand of Islam. So, to try to draw more equivalents between them and us is intellectually vapid.

"people" are scared because most muslums are not white... people of all religions are usually recruit. except, in my experience, people who are jewish.

It is a bit more complicated than the simplicity of your question. Many other religions are not trying to convert others under the threat of death. They do not strap bombs onto themselves in a crowded marketplace or take over airliners full of innocent people to crash into buildings full of innocent people. People are scared of <radical> Muslims for the same reason you would be afraid of any <radical> group, the extremeness of their tactics and their fundamental desire to change this country's very foundation. America was founded on the basis of freedom of religion. Radical Muslimism in America would have one religion: theirs. The doorknockers who promised you health sound like some Jehovah's Witness or something of that nature. They are pretty harmless and need to monitor their OWN health, since so many of them refuse medical treatment of any kind.
