Hang on... just a minute...
*wipes*
What was that? Oh... my computer screen...
*squints*
Clean as a whistle!
my 19" dell monitor is as clear as crystal!!!
I have to admit this laptop is in need of a good clean!!! LOL
I think its the cleanest you can get!
1. Create a gentle cleaning solution. The ideal solution is plain distilled water. If more heavy cleaning is needed a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and distilled water can also be effective.
* Manufacturers no longer recommend using any cleaners with alcohol, ammonia or any strong solvents on LCD screens. See link to Dual Wet/Dry cleaning System in Sources and Citations below.
2. Put the solution in a small atomizer bottle, the type that you push from the top to get a fine mist. Don't use this, however, to spray on the screen itself.
3. Apply--a minimal amount of--the solution to a cotton cloth, such as an old T-shirt, lint-free microfiber cloth, or some other very soft cloth. A large cloth is best, since it will help to reduce the risk of leaving streaks across the screen from finger pressure. Do not make the cloth wet, only moist. A wet cloth can drip or run when cleaning the screen and the solution can weep behind the bezel and permanently damage your screen!
4. Wipe the cloth against the screen in a circular, or other consistent motion. Rapid circular movements generally eliminate streaks. Apply--a gentle--and even pressure to the cloth. Use only enough pressure to keep the cloth in contact with the screen. Take care not to press your fingers into the cloth or screen. Applying too much force when cleaning the screen can permanently damage the LCD matrix rendering your screen unusable.
Hopefully i helped you.
It's pretty nasty. I must clean it now.
Not so clean, i wiped it clean and found i have two specs that won't go away. Figure its behind the screen.
as clean as my cake! - but cleaner than my kitchen - after a day baking etc!

As clean as clean can get.
even though i have a glossy screen (which picks up fingerprints extremely easily) its still perfectly clean, not a single mark.
I just gave it a good clean this morning
As spotless as my keypad...(neat freak)
its spotless - i have wipes at hand - cant stand dusty dirty screens :(
I cleaned it yesterday afternoon.
Hmm, ahh.. so that's why the picture is so blurred, it has an inch of dust on it. xD
I think I should throw it in washingmachine someday... nah, too lazy. :)
Spotless!
I must confess... mine is not dusty, but neither very clean.
I always like to keep my 25"inch DELL screen nice, clean,as i take good care of my stuff.)

How is a flat panel computer screen better than the old CRT screens from the 90's?

LOL!!! We had one cat that always drooled and then he'd shake his head and it would go flying! lol!!!! I don't miss that cat too much :-)
by Galeanda on February 20th, 2009
Oh that sounds like Baker... Sir Drollsalot. He is now Keysha's sister's cat and the drool would go a'fying! It is complete drool splatter!
.
We have to bring Rags into the vet for a check. I think he has a cold or a mild UTI. A cold for a young guy is one thing but with his age he needs to be seen. He is due for his yearly anyways. Unfortunately that shall have to wait until my breathing clears for me to get him down the stairs. Keysha is not able to get him to the vet alone due to her incision. Sooo... unless he gets worse he waits a bit.
by Arisztid on February 20th, 2009
I hope it's not too serious, poor Rags. Watch him carefully, give him something special :-)
by Galeanda on February 20th, 2009
We are watching him very carefully and, if he gets ANY worse before I am well enough to get him to the car, Keysha's sister shall come immediately. All he has is some sneezing, occasional snot bubbles from his nose (infrequent), and no other symptoms. He is acting normally... playful, demanding, Lord of his Domain. I really think that he is going to go in for a checkup, maybe get some antibiotics, and the vet is going to be happy.
.
As I said it is time for his yearly anyways. I am kind of looking forward to it because I am convinced that he is going to have a good check up.
by Arisztid on February 20th, 2009
You'll have to tell me how his check-up goes when he comes home:-)
I'll tell you, since Caesar's ear mites are really under control, he's turned into a kitten again and is roughhousing with Titus for hours each day. And the extra exercise is really helping him lose more weight, which for him s a good thing! :-)
by Galeanda on February 20th, 2009
I shall give you a full update... trust me! I shall tell everyone, you know me.
.
I did not know Caesar had ear mites. I had a cat who had a huge problem with those... absolutely miserable on him! Oh, could you take a look at this and see if his left eye looks like it has that thingy wrong with it? I am going to have to print out a picture so the vet can see it at night. You can only see the strange color with the flash:

.
It kind of looks opalescent, not like a cataract (his right eye has that).
by Arisztid on February 20th, 2009
Yeah, his eye does look cloudy, and not like cataracts, at least not yet.
by Galeanda on February 20th, 2009
It does not look like cataracts... this looks inside the eye and has an odd opalescence. I shall be printing out a picture or taking the laptop to show the vet. It is not visible in the day without the flash.
