Interesting question. Rape is an invasive crime with lasting effects; so, it would be nice if the punishment had a similar character. Enslavement at hard labor for a period of years might be interesting; and the victim could be given the right to administer any corporal punishments he earns. Branding on the face is another idea. You have to be careful with harsh punishments, though. Rape is a horrible crime, and I have no sympathy for the perpetrators. But sometimes the line between rape and legitimate sexual activity is very, very thin. I would reserve these sorts of punishments for clearcut cases.

Should be skinned alive with a rusty razor, have his intenstines pulled out through his mouth and then have his arms, legs, nipples, and penis chopped off with an axe. Then, pick his eyes out with tweezers, cut lines up and down his upper and bottom lips and peal them all the way up his head and down his chest until it rips off. If he's still not dead, beat him with an asp and break every bone in his body. Then once he's a sack of flesh with broken bones, take his skin and raise it up a mast as a flag, just to show prospective rapist what happens. Then lower the skins after a few days and burn them while hundreds of people take turns pissing and spitting into the fire.

Depends on the type of rapist. if it is a clear cut case of forced sex (not the more blurry date rape type), i say force them into a cell with rotating obscenely endowed brutes who get incentives for making his cellmate's butt bleed.
