smoking pot is a gateway to 7 11 runs for cheetos, little debbies, and chocolate milk...if it leads to other drugs, my guess is you were headed there in the first place

Hello Crabmed :). Yes, a lot of people feel the same way as you do...but if that's true, then anyone who tries drugs "should" be addicted to them, but not everyone is. We only hear part of the horror stories of what drugs can do to a person so listening to what others say about drugs will make people think that drugs can make a person addicted because that's what they want you to believe to scare you into NOT doing them (which I think education works better than the scare tactic - drug usage/addiction has not decreased since "War on Drugs")...but if you are around people that experiment with different types of drugs...for years...you know otherwise.

yeh i have to say no on this one i mean everyone is responsible for their own actions which is what someone already said but yeh i been smoking for like 6 years now and i haven’t been temped to try other drugs pot is not forcing you to try something new
i say stick with the all natural

I honestly don't think so. I've smoked pot, but I've never even considered doing any other kind of drug and I can't imagine that I ever would. I think it's all about your mind set and will power.

no, considering that most people smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol before smoking pot. that would make THOSE the gateway drugs.

yup. most people, but not me. im in middle school. ha ha. but MJ isn't a gateway drug; im not gonna try anything else (besides, perhaps, some salvia). Zee as aqui, your'e right about cigarettes and alcohol.

hmm... it's interesting how much more often i hear about salvia these days. anyhow, i say fuck cigarettes if you aren't already addicted! they do nothing for you except consume time & empty your wallet. be careful on the alcohol too. it's legal & so some people don't realize how powerful/dangerous it can be. i'm not trying to lecture. it's just that some don't realize that it takes 20 minutes for a drink to kick in. chugging a fifth is never a good idea, even if you have a high tolerance. 21 shots in one night of partying (as some people like to do on their 21st b-day) has killed more than one person.

NO, No it was beer and cigarettes that opened that "door" for me, I quit smoking cigarettes though!

no, how silly. I think there's a correlation, certainly, a lot of people who are weak enough to start up with weed are also weak enough to get dragged into other things. But, some people choose to smoke pot and only pot, and I've seen people in their 50's and 60's who still haven't tried anything else. So no, I think it's related, but one doesn't cause the other.

I've always been told it was, but I've never done other drugs. Well, enless the doctor gave them to me... Drugs are bad for you. But weed is not a drug, its a herb.

yeah. your brain has THC (tetrahydrocannibinol) receptors in your brain that serve no purpose but to, well, recept the THC. Coincidence??? not to me. Cannabis, like roses and daisies and all the other wonderful marvels of nature, was put on this planet by God for a reason: to be enjoyed. in my opinion, marijuana is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.
