Are there atheists who consider theists who don't believe in life after death to be "inconsistent"?

Not all theists believe in life after death. The first that comes to my mind is the Jewish group in the bible called the Sadducees. They were 'sad you see' because they didn't believe in an afterlife unlike the Pharisees who did believe in an afterlife.

Personally I wouldn't see it as inconsistent, because belief in a god is not synonymous with belief in an afterlife.
