    I am adopted and life was good. I now know my biological family and it is good also. My bio mother admits she would not have been a good mother at 17 and may have even resented me back then. I think adoption is a wonderful option.

    Hi,
    Im a guy and dont want kids, mainly because in to selfish with my time, I like to do my own things and could not commit the time towards kids.

    But, if I was to have a kid or kids, I would adopt, regardless of if I was able to have my own kids.

    There are some great people in this world who dont have the love they deserve, and if anyone wants a child and can give that love, they should give it to someone here who needs it

    i think its a great thing...if you're planning on having three kids, have two of your own and adopt the third one. there are many kids in need of a home...if you dont want to adopt, then sponsor a child...its true what they say...with just $20 a month, you can really make a difference.


    to my opinion, there shouldnt be so many rules to be able to adopt a child and there should also be more adoption centers in ny

    I believe adoption brings a positive ending to a challenging situation and benefits everyone involved. There is love and support of adoptive parents who are emotionally and financially ready to parent and provided a kind of home and family life that anyone would desire for their child. A child may be placed into a two parent home that may include another brother or sister. There are several resources and provisions that might not otherwise be provided for financially. Adoption may also provide A greater probability of a good education for the child.

    I think adoption is a great thing. It's better then have an abortion because at least the child has a chance in life.

    I think adoption is good but only in certain situations. Imho i think abortion is better than putting a child up for adoption because for a child to find out its only family is not its real family and its real family didn't want it - it must be hard. But i think adopting children who couldnt be looked after to give them a better life is a good thing... i dunno its not bad but in some situations i think adoption can be bad.

    Oh so good! We just adopted our daughter last year and actually saved her from being aborted. Birth mom had already made her mind up that she could not raise this child at this point in her life and she was fairly new around here and did not know many people. We had a mutual friend, they mentioned it to us, we pursued and have a beautiful baby girl because of it. It's wonderful.

    I think it's wonderful. The two people I know who have been adopted are happy and open about it. I think that many probably have bad experiences in that type of situations and I wish that adoption wouldn't have to happen, but it's good nonetheless.

    Well I think it is great that people adopt kids that can't get food and help them out.

    It would sure be a great feeling able to have people you can rely and trust on.

    But I wouldn't want to be adopted after I know I have real parents.

    Adoption is wonderful...a much better alternative than being murdered. Besides, I believe that the Christian God is an adoptive Father. He took sinners into His family...sinners like me, making them (me) His child.

    I think adoption is a great option for people who either don't feel they can properly raise a child or will not. I know several adopted people, and people who have adopted, and not one considers it a negative experience. I also know one lady who gave a child up for adoption when she was 16, and she continues to question herself and feel tremendous grief and loss.
    My only problem with adoption is that the qualifications, at least in the US, can be prohibitive for loving middle class people. Seems you have to have well above an average income to qualify, and I think that is ridiculous.

    Adoption I feel is a great option.....I myself am not adopted however I do have alot of friends and some family members who have adopted children and are themselves adopted....I strongly feel that anyone who gives up a child should never be criticized or looked down upon in their minds at the time or whatever the circumstance felt that they would not be a good parent for this child and this does not mean that they do not love or did not want the child alot of people make that assumption and they are WRONG. Times are not easy nor are certian circumstances and if they felt someone else could give thier child what they needed then at least they have the courage to admit that....Granted yes some individuals will feel like they were not wanted after finding out they were adopted its natrual however someone does want them and does love them and the birth parent showed thier love by allowing that to happen....It is not easy to give something away that is apart of you but if you yourself are comfortable and know why you made the decision you made screw anyone else who tries to disrespect you they don't know your being .....it wasn't thier decision to make
