  • When I was fourteen. Armed robbery of a convenience store.
  • I pulled a gun on myself once, does that count?
  • touchwood no i havnt. my bf and his brother go shooting (i hate it) it was only a little gun but i hate guns and think they are dangerous so i dont let him bring anything home like that. anyway a new law came out and his bruv had to get rid of his guns. im happy about that :0)
  • no, and i hope not!
  • Yess i have
  • Not a true firearm. The closest I've ever been is probably paintballing. Mind you, in the recent bomb threats on British flights last year, we were due to fly the day after the threat was publlicised, and there were amred police everywhere, and you really feel paranoid about everything, and hoping that you don't look suspicious to them, in case they shoot you.
  • Well, once I was in school, and this kid kept threatening he was going to shoot me if I didn't stop laughing at everything. I thought he was kidding, so I was like "Psht... yeah..." and he told me "You think I'm kidding?" and I just nodded, embarrassed, and then I shut face. I mean, this was in front of the entire class (we had a sub who heard but did nothing?) so I didn't figure he was serious. Later, I saw him at his locker kind of fiddling around with something, and sure enough, it was a handgun. I turned him in anonymously, and he got expelled. Yeah... so lesson learned: when someone jokes around with you like that, your best bet is to take it seriously (without freaking out).
  • yes, i was 16, and very stupid, and i eas thinking it was a cigarette lighter quickly took it from him, i pointed it back at him and he took off running. I then realized that it was a real .32 snubnose revolver and he was surprised that someone would grab it away, thought I was just crazy enough to use it on him. I flagged down a police officer and told him I had found the gun in the lot up the street and he took it from me. Before he took it from me I wiped off my prints.
  • No but I pulled a gun on someone.
  • Yes, he was a punk kid from school (although we weren't in school at the time), and I freaked out due to my fear of guns. That's about enough said about the incident.
  • No I have not , a knife but not a gun .
  • 3 times. One time while walking across one of the bridges from Cincinnati to Newport KY,....some guy just pulled out a gun and demended money. One time while I was trying to find a bathroom in the city,...some guy was directing me to one, and he seemed pretty nice, but then he took me around a corner to an alley, and wanted money. And one time while delivering pizzas,...the guy asked for the money AND the food this time.
  • Yes I have once, then I took it from him and commenced to stomp a mudhole in his ass. The gun did go off but he missed.
  • Twice, once at a stop light for no apparent reason, think it was a gang iniciation, I just floored it and ran the red almost causing an accident. Another got shot at because a friend of mine was being a dumbass
  • I never had. And I don't think that english long bow counts. But I promise, when I grow old, I will have been experienced something like that. ;)
  • Unfortunately, yes. It was a policeman. A friend of mine owned a gas station and we were at a party that ran out of drinks. He and I ran to the station to get several cases of soft drinks, (back when they were in wooden cases and bottles). As I was coming out of the station with 2 cases in my hands, I heard the unmistakeable sound of a 12 gauge shotgun being cocked. I looked up to see the shotgun pointed at my face, and a policeman telling me to stop right there. I froze! I told him what was going on and asked him to please not point that shotgun at my face. About that time, my friend came out with his arms full, and the policeman turned the shotgun to him. We finally were able to show I.D. and clear it up. But, it was about the scariest thing that ever happened to me.
  • Nope, and i hope i never will!

  • Back in 1966. my first day, by myself, in a police car. for the last six months, i had been riding with an fto(field training officer). today, was my solo flight, after six months training at the police academy. i was a rookie no more. I was assigned a very large, country area. we had been finding stolen automobiles in this particular beat zone. i decided to head out and check for more. this was on a sunday morning and everything had been fairly quite all night. As i drove down an isolated country road, the rising sun hit the front bumper of an automobile, way back in the woods. it was backed in on a hiking trail and not visible from the road. i put my police car in reverse and turned on the trail, scrapping trees and bushes along the way. one half mile and i came to this parked vehicle. no one was visible, from inside my police car. we were front bumper to bumper, approx. eight feet from each others front door. I exited my police car and approached this vehicle. i noticed a male white sitting behind the wheel, asleep stretched across the front seat. a pile of clothes was on the front floorboard. a small portable radio was playing country music. the radio was on the dash of the car. i knocked on the window and awakened the male white. he rolled down the window and i asked why you are here? he stated he had been traveling all night and pulled off to sleep. acutally, he was five miles off the main highway. i asked for some identication. he presented to me a military identification card. i asked if he was wanted and he said no. I went back to my police car, picked up the radio microphone, to ask for a record check on this subject. in less than 15 seconds, i heard the rack of a shotgun. i looked up and it was pointed at me, sitting in my police car. i knew what was coming. i layed over in the front seat and attempted to cover my eyes and ears. glass from the windshield went everywhere. i received one or two shotgun pellets in my shirt and cuts on my face. then, i heard a "click"...he was out of ammunition. I knew i had to make a move and fast, if i wanted to survive. i grabbed my 12 gauge shotgun with one hand and the radio microphone with the other. i shouted that i was in a gunfight and to send me some help. I rolled out of the police car as the male white finished reloading the shotgun. i placed myself behind my police car for protection from the forthcoming shotgun blasts. i did not see the shotgun earlier. it was covered by clothes on his front floorboard. Our gunfight lasted for 32 minutes. yes, 32 minutes. it seemed like a month. in the background and between gunshot exchanges, i could hear sirens coming to my aid. it took the first police car 32 minutes to locate me. it seemed like a lifetime. The suspect suddenly stood straight up behind his vehicle. i stood up behind the police car. we were pointing shotguns point blank at each other. i had not been keeping count of the shells in my shotgun and did not know if i had a round left to fire. the suspects then talked to me. he asked if i was going to let him escape? i said hell no. he then said, i am not going to shoot at you anymore. i saw your nameplate(on my uniform). i went to high school with a boy with the same last name as yours, do you know him? i said yes, he was is my cousin. The suspect then began walking backwards, looking for a place to escape, between the bushes. he found one and turned left to run. i fired one shot at the suspect, hoping i had winged him in the shoulder. missed him. For two days, a massive search was conducted, looking for this suspect. the third day, he walked out of the woods and surrendered. on the way to jail, i asked him, why me? he stated it was nothing personal. earlier that night, he, his friend and girlfriend, had burglarized a drive in market. the other two were captured, he escaped and decided to kill the first cop he ran across. i was it. all three were in a stolen vehicle and had escaped the state prison in alabama. The only way i escaped being killed that morning, were the guardian angels around me. by all thats known, i should not be here, answering this question. It was just not my time to go. amen
  • Unfortunately a few times, but they felt it was their duty to their country or cause, just as I did when I pulled a gun on someone else.
  • No. I don't think I've ever even seen a gun in real life, I hope to keep it that way.
  • Yeah, my little brother pulled out a super soaker 4000 on me the other day...I'm still not the same
  • Yes, I foiled a robbery attempt at a motel lobby. I did not realize it untill i walked up behind the robber and startled him. He turned around with a gun at my gut then ,ordered me to the floor, but then he and his partner, who was in the back room attempting to open a safe, ran off.
  • Not at me personally. I was riding in a Greyhound bus, going to Mexico, and just south of Waco, Texas, someone standing in a field fired bullets at the bus and hit the windows. It happened so fast we didn't have time to be scared - that happened after the bus stopped and the police were called. It kind of put us behind schedule, though. On the way back home, we all got a little nervous driving back through Texas.
  • No, I'm not feared.
  • yeah, a water gun
  • Luckily only a squirt gun.
  • I was working as a cashier at Walmart. The guy was paying, and when I opened the cash register, a gun fell out of his backpack. I don't think he was planning on using it with me, but it scared the crap out of me.
  • I know ppl hate when someone answer their own questions, but deal with it... I had several times, one time by cops, for no good reason, our car broke down in bad neighboorhood, we pushed it into a gas station, it was closed though, cop came by, checked on us, and left, as soon as he was leaving another cop car was pulling in, I was getting out of the car, and they jumped out pointed guns at me telling me to get the F back in the car, when I told them that I JUST spoke to some other cop, they just quitely left...
  • Yep, by 5.0.
  • a bb gun
  • Nope. I'm afraid just thinking about it.
  • i have not. I have however been in a small knife fight with my brother. I got him good. I think hes got a small small scar there still. lol. But a gun, no.
  • No, thank goodness...and I would like to keep it that way :)
  • Yep, and they pulled the trigger. Fortunately, there were no bullets in the chamber. That is how I know there is a God who has ordained my foot steps and no weapon formed against me shall ever prosper without Him allowing it to occur.
  • Yep ! A few times. I have been very lucky .
  • Yes. Many times. I was almost always faster. : )
  • Yea twice. Once turned out to be a BB hand gun, but it looked like a real gun and was used with the intention of it being a real gun so I definitly reacted like it was a real gun. Luckily I knew it was a bluff and got him to chicken out, but the other time was by cops who thought me and my friends were running around with real guns though they were just airsoft replicas
  • Yes I have :)
  • LOL! I've been shot at ( and almost hit ) any number of times.
  • Once when I was a kid. Almost pee pee'd in my pants.
  • Unfortunately, yes. My mother forced me to do the dishes at gunpoint several times when I was 6 and 7 years old. Funny thing........I don't like doing dishes.
  • No, but I'd watch my words around someone who does.
  • Only a watergun! I try to stay out of bad areas.
  • It's kind of personal I can't explain. It's embarassing.
  • Many times in Vietnam.
  • just a water gun.
  • I've been shot at if that's the same thing.
  • Yes, 6 at one time. Wasn't the best day of my life!
  • Worse! I was mortared, roketed, IEDed and shot at.
  • Yeah! By an 11yr. old I was babysitting, believe it or not! He was trying to push his brother around and I prevented it!
  • Once a knife by a local hooligan. Once a gun by one of General Franco's guards when I was trying to take a photograph. Once by 3 guns when I passed through check point charlie in Berlin on the wrong side of the road.
  • Yes by a kid when I was 12. It was more of a dare than anything else We also played chicken with the knives throwing them at each others feet.
  • No, never. I'm pretty young though and have always avoided fights. Some where in my life, I probably will get a weapon pulled at me, I fear.
  • No. But... I have been held up at table leg point. Yes, the guy actually tried to hold up the store holding a table leg. A customer grabbed and held him until the cops showed up.
