  • Depending on the OS (Operating System: EX. ME, 98, XP) I wil give you step by step instructions on how to change you Active X settings 1. Go to "My Computer" 2. Double click Control Panel 3. Now find Internet Options and double click it. 4. another window should pop up. Now find Security on the top tabs, and click it. 5. Now on bottom there should be Custom Level. Click It. 6. Another window Titled "Security Settings" should pop up. From there the first thing on the top should say "ActiveX controls and plug-ins" under that title you should see these 5 different subtitles that allow you to chose the settings "disable, enable, or prompt" are "Download signed ActiveX controls" - "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" - "Intilialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe" - "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" & "Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting"------These should be the subtitles under "ActiveX controls and plug-ins". 7. All of the ActiveX controls and plug-ins should be set to "Enable" except "Download unsigned ActiveX controls" it should be set to "Disable". But for added security you can have "Download signed ActiveX controls" set to "Prompt" instead of "Enable"
