In a word: compromise.

Romance is subjective. Clearly your wife does not agree with the traditional view of "romantic".

For example, my ex disliked flowers, but loved ribbon! I would never give her flowers because, she would hate them. In other words: flowers were not romantic *to her*.

If you love each other you need to learn about each others wants and needs in the relationship and reach a compromise.

Finally I want to add, you can't change a person. If you are not getting what you need from this relationship you might need to think about how long your marriage can last.

this is the same question you had minutes ago though as what i have said continue showing her how much you love her on your own way and she will do the same.. not all people can be as romantic as you are wishing for though sometimes they learned to show some time soon.. your wife is not very showy when it comes to her feeling and you should respect that else.. it might ruin all what you have.. sad but true..

poor me :-( my love overflow is not appreciated in deeds although she says she is appreciating it !! alllllllllll i want is love words... am i asking for too much from a woman that i love & pretty sure she loves me too ...?

anon: self pity wont do anything to solve the problem.. but understanding and patience.. surely there is nothing much for what you are asking for but not all people can be as romantic as you are and the only thing you can do is keep showing her enough love (too much for all things are bad and that's what makes you feel bad right now).. she can be romantic if properly motivated :)
