lol i doubt it....i mean would they have to rename dr pepper just cuz it aint a docter? I dont believe mountain dew should have to change its logo or brand name
-
No. If people think that dew from a mountain is a odd yellow-green hue, then maybe they should avoid these drinks. They're probably the same people that think that Sierra Mist comes from the Sierra Mountains. (Are there such people?) I mean, how many soft drinks have any correlation to what they are named? Hahah

I think the name should be changed to Garbage Spew actually.

Are you kidding? Pepsico (Pepsi), has too much money invested in this product. Mountain Dew is one of its best sellers. I can assure that their attorneys have thoroughly researched an infringements, in order to avoid a lawsuit. Mountain Dew can actually be anything. dew on a mountain top or even a city name.

It's possible. I read that a well-known sausage named Welsh Dragon in Britain has been told to change its name because it does not actually contain dragon meat. Work that one out.

ummm, dr pepper, thankfully, isn't really the famous dr pepper. coca-cola has no cocaine in it anymore. sierra mist - how'd they come up with that? if you moved from the names of sodas to the names of alcoholic beverages found in bars - well, an iced tea or hurricane are neither! a sex on the beach is false advertising, except if you have enough of them, you might end up having sex of the beach. a slow-comfortable-screw isn't - but likely leads to one ...

If that were the case, many other products would have to rename themselves. Look at soap alone, I'm pretty sure Irish Spring, Dove, and Ivory contain none of the things found in the name.

It's possible, great question! :)
