Hey I just started seriously dating a 20 year old Mormon and as far as I can tell she is fairly religious. Is there anything I should know about dating a mormon girl? should I expect her or her church friends to try and convert me? Anything else ingeneral

She might try to convert you, but you'd know more about weather she was the type or not then I would. Generally, Mormon's do not have sex outside of marriage, do not smoke, and do not drink at all. They also obey all laws of the land. Hope that helps.

well, I watched a show before on TV, none of the ladies drank, or smoked, they were all very polite and did pretty much everything for their husbands. They believe in abstinence I think.

Short Answer: Yes, there will be significant pressure to be baptized into the LDS Church and as well as to live a good Mormon life so that you can get a Temple Recommend and be married in the LDS Temple "for life and for eternity". You will be pressured not only by the girl but by her parents to become a Latter Day Saint. By the way, "Missionary Dating" is very common with some Mormon girls. it depends on the type of person she is, how desperate she is, what part of the country she lives in, etc. btw i can think of several instances where a girl dates a non mormon guy and gets him to convert only to break it off and marry some returned missionary, not saying that always happens but it is a possibility.

Acts of chivalry will be greatly appreciated. Not only will her friends try to convert you, but her and her parents as well (most likely). Try to be familiar with LDS standards - aspects like no caffeine, no buying on Sundays, and the like.
