  • Quietly observe it away from the trigger happy "We're being persecuted" Rednecks.
  • My son and I will be making candles over the weekend, and then lighting them on Monday and talking about Brigid. He is almost three, so thus far we are keeping it very simple. I'm just trying to get the traditions started in our home at this point.
  • I don't have any plans more special than I usually have for Sabbats. Since I am now living away from my coven, I celebrate most Sabbats solitary (or with my fiance, who is Hindu). Anything I do this year will have to not conflict with the Super Bowl... :)
  • I know some people have other traditions with their yule log/solstice tree, but I cut up my Solstice Tree, go to the beach (even though it's freezing and covered in ice and snow), and burn it needles and all - helping to warm the heart of the young Maiden, put fire in the spirit of the young Hunter, and simply as a celebration for the coming of spring. I eat a simple meal with a side of milk and then, once the fire dies away, I take the ashes (after they've cooled, of course) and spread them around as I head back home to enrich the soil for new plants-to-come. (Sorry, I typically like to answer my own questions.)
