  • There is a reason for this fear, rather if it is the mom or the father, try talking to the child and get clues. But talk to her on her level.
  • Maybe. The mother could be telling her things about her father. Was the divorce bad? Do the father and mother have somewhat of a positive relationship or is it all hate?
  • Anything is possible. Bring it up with your spouse. Ask questions. Make noise. Check out the kid.
  • Well, it may not be anything that is said. How is the child feeling at home? Is she happy and plays, or is she uncomfortable and quiet? Could there be anything that she gets at the mothers home that she'll miss at her dad's? I remember from being a Kid, when you've got a good thing and a fun place to hang around, you hate going home. This could be expressed in many ways. Think about it, she's only 4. Her ways of communication can still be uncoordinated and rather basic. Understanding what she really is trying to say is the key.
