  • I think it's completely different for a father and son to shower together, for obvious reasons. It should cease almost immediately.
  • Well I haven't seen the movie wild thing, but I take it your talking erections. I've been caring for my three year old great nephew and we have been sharing the shower. Personally I see nothing wrong with it, it gets him clean, I keep an eye on him and we enjoy the time together. Sometimes I leave some clothes on him, but nudity is not an issue. Growing up is an important part of life, The human body is precious and it's important that the learning can be experienced, rather than hidden.
  • Family can shower together for as long as the parent(s) and kid(S) are comfortable with the situation. Kids do not know nudity is embarrassing unless we teach them. I showered with my kids until they were about 4ish, then they were like "mom, I can do it!!!" They will still hang out in the bathroom and talk to me while I'm soaking in the tub, it's just not a big deal to us.
  • In the days of the Witch hunt of sexual predators I would not be comfortable going pass age two (toddler can sit and walk on their own) being in the tub/shower with the kid. We stopped at around that age, we graduated from mutual bathing to toilet sitting and saying things like "don't forget behind the ears" "wash mr. pee-pee" blah. That slowly gave way around 4-5 to door open and occasionally looking in as we causally walked by - the frequency of walking by slowly diminished until one day we stopped walking by and the bathroom door closed. Unless you have a child with special needs, then forget what I said.
