Take a large waterbottle and just keep it with you all day and sip on it. Thats what I do.

You could try eating foods that are high in water content... Vegetables and fruits have a lot of water (watermelon is a great example). You could drink beverages other than water (like herbal tea), as long as they do not contain caffeine you will still be hydrating your body (just watch out for high sugar drinks as you don't need the empty calories). Valparasio's suggestion is good too.

Eating lots of water-rich fruits and veggies helps some, but it really is most important for you to drink fluids! Like Valparaiso said, get a water bottle and have it with you always - check out the Sigg water bottles on Amazon.com. They come in cool designs and are fun to have around, plus they're reusable, and keep your beverage cool. And, it doesn't have to be just water. Add a splash of 100% juice to the water, if you need to give it some flavor, or a wedge of lemon, lime, or orange. Start trying different herbal teas (herbal tea, by definition, should always be decaf, so they won't dehydrate you further) and drink them hot or cold.

drink water when you are hungry. 50% of hunger is actually thirst

The obvious answer is drink LOTS of water, and to make it more pleasant maybe add some ice. If that doesnt work, how about tea or coffe, which includes water,or even something as simple as Kool-Aid is full of water (if you can handle the sugar). Lemonade, and anything that requires water, drink and drink, even popsicles. Good Luck

Try drinking a drink with every thing you eat, It digests food better too.

Avoid/minimise coffee - it is a diuretic (meaning it tends to make you go to the bathroom more often, dehydrating you). Minimise sweet drinks and sports/energy drinks - bad for your teeth and they're full of empty calories which could make weight management difficult. Avoid/minimise low/zero sugar sodas. They're stuffed full of chemicals your body will just have to extract. Get over your difficulty. Just do it. Treat it like medicine until drinking enough becomes habit. Learn to drink plain old water. Do not underestimate the power of self discipline!

sugar free koolade and crystal lite are great ways to drink water and they taste great too. Plus you don't have to worry about added calories.
-
Leafy veggies msuch as lettuce would help. Also just about any fruit inparticular watermelon.

Something you might try is to have a set time to just take a drink. Get a good drink at say 7:00 AM and the nest time is like 9:00Am and so forth until it becaome a habit of drinking at those times. I like to put a splash of lemon juice in my water that I keep in the fridge all the time. I even take one of those small bottles in my pocket all the time.

I was told that each time you eat, drink a glass of lquid before and after your meal. that means you get at least 6 glasses a day. that can be water, juice, a glass of wine....and then, if you eat an orange, an apple and some grapes during the day, you should be getting plenty of liquid.
-
I'm with you on this one, because I do the same thing. I don't really know the true answer to this, but I make myself go get some water or juice, and I still don't meet the requirements. I think it just takes a lot of motivation.
-
you've got some really good answers there. my method is to have many different drinks available, like milk, water, decafe, apple juice, apricot juice, cocoa, cola (sugar and caffiene free), bovril. That's 8. Eight large classes or mugs should do the trick. plus apple, orange, melon, grapes as suggested `above. On a hot day go through the menu again.

I had to force myself to drink water, but I do eat a lot of fruit (watermelon, grapes, and green tea, veggie juices, lack of water can tire you easily, I find if I fill bottles of water and put in fridge I drink more

Have you ever tried something fizzy like flavored Perrier or club soda. I like it because its not sweet. Quinine water is also good and just a little seet.

my brother had the same problem. he was only young, and the doctor gave him milkshakes made of chocolate ice-cream topping and milk. it was really thick, so he didnt mind it, but it worked. he used to have one before and after school.
