Not really. They are only a tool for violence, and without them men who want to will still find plenty. - And a successful Global Zero petition would only mean that only those who choose not to sign will still have them. - Or are you proposing that we all get together and attack such people with conventional weapons to either kill or control them? Dead is dead either way.

The world would be better off without them. People generally don't know that those things still emit enough radiation to kill people, just a lot slower.
