  • If by openly supported you mean he or she was involved in the attacks in some way it would be treason not to denounce him or her. If you mean they mearly did not disagree with the attacks, than he or she is entitled to his or her own opinion.
  • Denounce? I'd certainly report anyone with active support of any terrorist activity to every agency that occurred to me. If they just agreed with the attacks, no. Holding opinions, even unpopular and unethical ones, is not illegal.
