    ...now THAT is a great question! My first response..."hang up the phone"...ect...but that implies that one would have to be rude.. AND...as an 8th grade teacher, I employ bribes & threats... But...when you really need someone to stop talking (who talks just to hear themselves OR never has learned how to listen)...well, I excuse myself saying I have some "other" obligation/appointment ... HOWEVER...I am going to keep checking this question because I am curious about other opinions...I could use some NEW hints!
