I like the good news first. In my experience, after hearing the bad news, the good news never seems so good anyway, so it's not like I'm going to be cheered back up by it or anything. Might as well give me the good news first, so I won't have already been brought down.

How do you know which I regard as the good/bad news? For example, what if you're pregnant and it's with me. How do you know whether I wanted the child or not?

bad news is you lived your life by the "BOOK" and it sucked. good news is when your dead your dead no after life to regret the decesions you made!

Bad news first, because I can always think the problem out and try to fix it. This would usually take about 15 min.I don't let them tell me the good news until I can solve or help the person out first and than I look forward to the good news.

Both would be the same to me. The bad has the great stuff in it which the world cannot see and the good has the difficult stuff in it. That which brings elation to our mind pumps up our ego which is really bad for spiritual growth but the bad ones makes us realize the world is such a flimsy place and so unreal!
