The reason I am asking this is because there are no plurals in Chinese....and Tense doesn't exist as it does in English (without a modifier as 'le' for a completed action)....Do you immediately see ;MAN PASSES ONLY HIS SHADOW REMAINS" OR "MANKIND PASSED AND ONLY HIS SHADOW REMAINS" or "A MAN DID PASS NOW ONLY HIS SHADOW REMAINS" or how does it immediately appear to you. I hope you can understand my question...:) duo xie.

Sorry, I am a Chinese but not a native Chinese Mandarin speaker. I am English educated. The Chinese characters for ren2 qu4 liu2 ying3 are 人走留影 and I will attempt to provide a suggestion.
