Why does it matter whether or not your TV is fairly sized or GIGANTIC?

Because Bigger is better in the world of TV's epically if you have a group of friends over to watch a movie, its easier for everyone to see the Big screen than a small scene!

I would rather have a larger TV because it's easier to watch sports and movies on. It makes it easier to see the plays or scenes in my opinion.
