Why don't people take more care with spelling and grammar?

Two words: laziness and ignorance. Same goes for all those abbreviations -- they know the words, but are too lazy to type them out. Of course in some cases space is limited, but OMG, IMO it gets old and in some cases makes very confusing since they often assume that since they know what they are trying to say, everyone else will know as well. If there's one thing I learned at an early age that I could count on in human beings, its laziness!

Why do people let the smallest things that don't matter bother them? Like spelling and grammar? Really go become a teacher if it bothers you that much! *Edit* Sorry forgot my answer! Because we like making ppl mad ovr nuttn!

They could, I dont think they believe it is that important, most can understand what they mean, and dont want everyone acting like the grammer police. Some people are dyslexic, some are uneducated, most are lazy. -
In this day and age there is far more to think about than spelling and grammar, people shouldn't be judged by their spelling or grammar, as long as it makes some sense why let it bother you?

Because so many parents have abdicated so many of their former responsibilites to their children, turning such over completely to the likes of daycare centers and so-called "educators". Far more important human qualities are being lost than spelling and grammar.

Be careful, friend. I honestly light-heartedly offered a correction -- the person made a grammatical mistake while complaining about homework questions -- and got my head bitten off. A pal of hers joined in. I got a little pissed. Just be careful, that's all. PC trolls live here, too.

Because people have no respect for the mediums through which we are such intelligent beings. Teaching to the rescue!
