Help answer this question below.
my thoughts are... your mouse driver is incompatible with the vista format. It may just likely be a question of updating the software and drivers that came with your mouse. I f this isn't possible you could try buying a new one. I can recommend logitech which i currently use. They are very reliable and are compatible with most operating systems and they are a stand alone package. This means it updates automatically. Hope this helps!!!!!!!!
Did you get your computer from Best Buy Or Circuit City? If you did and you got a warranty, you can take it to geek squad or YellowDog. If not, try to use Windows Update and install all avail. updates. Try it again. If that doesn't work, open your system recovery console and reset your system back to factory settings. WARNING: Factory reset will delete all of your files and settings. Backup all of the documents you need into a flash drive, or external storage of some sort. If your system does not have recovery, or you dont know how to use it, take the computer to your local computer shop.
I had this problem - and wasted a ton of time trying to fix it.
