  • I am 24, I have never had a close relationship with my family, so I would definitely have to say friends.. But I often think of my friends as family, I think to make up for me not having much of one in the first place.
  • Family first, then friends. I am a 61 yo, male.
  • This is a very interesting question. When I was younger, say from my twenties until my early sixties, ther eis no question that friends--male and female--were much more important than my family. As I have aged from sixty until now, in my eighties, family has gradually taken on a little more importance. Some o my closest friends have died. Others are ill and unable to carry on our friendships. In a way, although we do not know each other as well as my friends know me, my relations have come to mean more than they used to.
  • I agree about wife being best friend--but I have a group of great friends who I have known since high school days. We are really close. m 55

  • Male, 18 To me both are very important, but I'd have to say my family wins the race. No matter what they're there for you when you need them at least mine anyway and because they'll always be your family, and I realize everyday how much they're always there for me, I can talk to them about anything, and all the things they do for me. Even though some of my friends are probably the closest to being family without actually being related to me.
