Eat healthier, exercise, and try to control yourself. Learn to use what helps you as far as thoughts go. I am a scatterbrained person who smokes marijuana so I have had to learn to direct my thoughts for my own good. Some thoughts can bring you down and if you are down, it's easier for like thoughts to manifest themselves in your mind. Try to avoid thoughts that don't help you. Learn the difference between unpleasant thoughts that are not necessary and unpleasant thoughts that are. (Like you need to remember to pay your bills, but you don't need to worry about the end of the world.) Remember that like thoughts attract other like thoughts. If you catch yourself having an negative thought, don't panic, just recognize it for what it is and be proud of yourself for making improvements, then think about something else. Play an instrument, and don't use too much caffeine.
