Beloved, let us love one another. For love is of God, and everyone that loves is born of God, and knows God. He that loves not, knows not God, because God is love.

"Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails."

I have two that go together:
John 5:31 If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid.
John 8:14 Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid.

Oh wait, I found another one that I greatly enjoy:
Exodus 21:20-21 If a man beats his male or female slave with a rod and the slave dies as a direct result, he must be punished, but he is not to be punished if the slave gets up after a day or two, since the slave is his property.

What a moral piece of literature!

    Luke 12:22-24

"Then Jesus said to his disciples,'Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes. Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn; yet God feeds them. And how much more valuable you are than birds!'"

I always go and read these verses when I am worried about bills or food and they help me to remember to have grace and believe that God will help me when I need it.

Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you." Psalms 6: On my bed I remember you; I think of you through the watches of the night.- I like that one because I can interpret it as nothing religious.

I like these ones too, because they make me laugh in a sort of sad way
Psalms 91:14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him; I will
protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
97:10 Let those who love the LORD hate evil, for he guards the lives of
his faithful ones and delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
116:1 I love the LORD, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy.
145:20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy.
Luke 14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command.

John:17:3. This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God [Jehovah], and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

My favorite is this because, it reveals the secret to attain everlasting life [which is a Christian Goal] by gaining knowledge about TWO. 1. The only True God 2. Jesus Christ. If we dont know about these TWO then we would not get everlasting life.

the shortest verse, john 11:35 'Jesus Wept' this verse gives me a chill when I think of God crying. and when you realize why he's crying; not that lazurus was dead, but because of his sence of empathy. All the people that loved lazurus and didn't understand were weaping...'When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews also weeping which came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled'...so 'Jesus wept'

John 17:3. which says "This means EVERLASTING life, their taking in knowledge of you(?), the only true God, and of the one WHOM YOU sent forth, Jesus Christ."

From this scripture i have learned that Jesus and his heavenly father are both different. Quite interesting isn't?

"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"

Since Christ is the best expert on Christianity, I pick this one: "I will have mercy, and not sacrifice." He was quoting Hosea 6:6, which appears to be a condemnation of the idea a sacrifice for sins.

And that verse should prompt people to go searching for the real gospel. (explained on my profile)

I cannot possible just have one.

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the former heaven and the former earth had passed away, and the sea is no more. Revelation 21:1

With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 21: 3,4

He said to them: “Because of YOUR little faith. For truly I say to YOU, If YOU have faith the size of a mustard grain, YOU will say to this mountain, ‘Transfer from here to there,’ and it will transfer, and nothing will be impossible for YOU.” Matthew 17:20

Mark 12:29 "And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is ONE Lord"

Because it is sort of hand in glove with the above I'll include John 17:3 where Jesus says “that they might know THEE THE ONLY true God, and Jesus Christ, whom THOU HAST SENT.”

    These show that:
The strict monotheism of the OT was reaffirmed by Jesus.
Jesus came to show his people the way to the only True God
it was the same God that Noah, Abraham, Moses and all other prphets led to
Jesus was a messenger sent by God

all teachings to be found in the Last and Final Testament aka the HQ
